Delivery Information and Freight Policy

Delivery Information / Freight Policy

At Off Road Central, we understand the importance of efficient and reliable freight services to ensure the timely delivery of our products to our valued customers. To meet this goal, we have established the following Freight Policy, which outlines our approach to handling freight through third-party carriers and freight brokers.

As we are an online store, available product lines are dispersed between multiple warehouses at various locations and may not be able for same day shipment. If you are requiring a product by a set date, we recommend contacting our sales team to confirm availability.

1. Use of Third-Party Carriers and Freight Brokers:

Off Road Central exclusively utilises third-party carriers and freight brokers to handle all delivery aspects of our freight operations. This approach allows us to leverage the expertise and resources of specialised logistics partners to ensure the efficient transportation of our products.

Off Road Central selects carriers and freight brokers based on a rigorous evaluation process. We prioritise carriers with a proven track record of reliability, safety, and adherence to industry regulations.

2. Bookings and Tracking

Our sales team is responsible for booking freight with qualified carriers and freight brokers.
They will be able to provide you with estimate freight quotations that can meet our delivery timelines and service expectations.

Through our broker portals we can track shipments in real-time, allowing us to monitor the progress of each shipment and provide accurate delivery information to our customers.
Our customers will also be provided with tracking details on dispatch of freight, so tracking is available in the palm of your hands.
** As our systems are based on a third-party company, there may be some events which are out of our control, including but not limited to freight cost variations, shipping delays, transport issues, and tracking faults.

3. Claims and Disputes (Damaged Goods)

In the event of lost or damaged shipments, Off Road Central will work closely with our chosen carriers and freight brokers to resolve claims promptly. We will strive to minimise disruptions to our customers and ensure that claims are processed efficiently.

Any disputes or discrepancies related to freight services will be addressed in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in our agreements with carriers and freight brokers. Freight carriers have strict guidelines concerning lodgement of claims and liability.

In the event of damaged goods, the customer is responsible for

  • Inspecting the goods on arrival and signing the consignment as “damaged” or “subject to inspection”.
  • Contacting ORC within 24hours of receiving the goods to notify us of damages. All damage claims must be supplied in writing to sales@offroadcentral.com.au
  • Providing supporting images of the damages with relevant information.
  • Providing any additional information requested by the freight carrier to verify the claim.

Off Road Central cannot control the outcome / decision made by the freight carrier on damage claims. However, we will work with the customer to achieve the best possible outcome.

4. Redelivery or Return of Goods

In the event the freight company has to make several attempts for re-delivery or provide additional resources for delivery, the customer may be liable for additional charges.

Off Road Central accepts no responsibility for decisions made by the delivery partner at the time of delivery. In some cases, the freight carrier may deem the delivery unsuitable and take the goods to a local warehouse for collection. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure collection from the warehouse or make further arrangements with the freight carrier.

In the event of goods being returned to Off Road Central, freight charges must be paid for by the customer as outlined in the Off Road Central Returns Policy.

5. Compliance with Regulations:

Off Road Central is committed to complying with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing freight transportation. We expect our carriers and freight brokers to share this commitment and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
